Your information shows that you are in Australia; I suspect this is one of (many) features that varies from country to country.

Lol. I didn't even know there was a hidden key in the fob until I read the manual. This is my first new car in 16 years. Mind blown!

I love the keyless entry. Fooled the grandkids for weeks into thinking my HR-V would only respond to my voice when I would say "HR-V, open door" as I approached it.

Haha. I fooled my coworkers into thinking that it had a fingerprint scanner and only opened the doors to my finger prints.

My gf thinks I'm just being gentlemanly when I walk over to the passenger door to touch the handle.

I do the same thing. I like to think Honda is just trying to bring back chivalry to America...

After one year of ownership I am still bothered that I cannot open all the doors from the driver's side. It would at least help if I could open all the doors by unlocking the tail gate but this doesn't work for me. The owners manual says the following:

Unlocking/Locking the Tailgate
To unlock: Press the tailgate release button underthe tailgate handle to unlock the doors and thetailgate. The vehicle can be on or off.

When I press the tailgaterelease button under the tailgate handle it only unlocks the tailgate and notthe doors. Does anyone else have the same experience? Is my HRV defective or isthe manual just incorrect?
Thanks

I think the world is going to end because we can't use a button that is on the remote. While I agree it doesn't make any sense. In my hybrid civic, driver side has an option thru the infotainment menu that can adjust this, it's not a big deal. And the trunk only unlocks the trunk.
