Hi.

I had a similar issue at first. Couldn't hear music via bluetooth. I needed to first turn up the volume on the phone for media. Once that was done, I could control the volume from console without any problem.

Android (Samsung Galaxy 4). My wife had a similar issue with her IPhone and the same fix. Basically, we started playing the music and turned the volume up on the phone. The level of sound was then controlled by the console.

Honda does have a tech support number which I may have thrown out (they called me after a comment I made on a survey after the purchase). You could try customer service as a starting point and see if they can connect you ((800) 999-1009).

Update guys so I just spoke to Honda tech support. They said this is a known issue There are basically only two options not connect to bluetooth or connect through bluetooth and turn on bluetooth audio. But that means you can can not listen to xm or the radio. Everythign needs to be listened via bluetooth audio. Is there any way around this?

The setting may only pop up when connected by Bluetooth- I can't find it right now!
I have, with the radio on, gotten texts, sent texts, and had iPhone maps navigating for me. When a call or text comes in, the radio goes off
