Trunk Dimensions

According to Car Top Mook (magazine)--recently brought back by the Missus--the trunk dimensions are:

A. Rear Door Opening, Height: 90cm (35.4in)
B. Rear Door Opening, Width: 118cm (46.5in)
C. Trunk Length, Rear Seats Down: 164cm (64.6in)
D. Trunk Length, Rear Seats Up: 78cm (30.7in)
E. Trunk Width, Between the Wheel Wells:102cm (40.2in)

Notes:
A. The trunk is both deeper and higher than the Rear Door Opening.
B. Widest point.
C. Don't know if front seats are foremost or backmost (or, somewhere in the middle).

MAINEMANX:

Veeeery interesting..........any data in the magazine about the driver's seat legroom? That could be a deal breaker due to my arthritic knee and I can't make any decision w/o that info. Thanks

Many thanks, please do check and let me know.

FYI: I just got back from checking comparative legroom(s), again, at my local Honda dealer....2015 Fit (41.4") just won't work and, just for comparison, a 2014 Civic sedan (42.4" according to the salesperson) was BARELY/maybe adequate, if that. Of course, as I expected, they have no idea, either, re the HR-V #. (On the other hand, a 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek, at 43.5", was fine in an earlier personal test I've done.)

The JDM Vezel Brochure gives front headroom as 985mm, rear as 900 to 945mm, but no legroom numbers ... may be something embedded in the narrative, but I'll have to ask, as I can't read Hiragana ... sumimasen.

The Vezel brochure I have doesn't have many interior dimensions, and I think the ones they have are meausured differently than we're used to. Really disappointed Honda hasn't released more specs. I can understand not having EPA numbers yet, but they certainly know the legroom etc.

I meant to also add that the legroom was similar to the Fit in both front and back.

I was told by Honda Customer Service today (11/21/14), after the helpful young lady checked with higher ups, that NO specs such as legroom, etc. will be given out until the HR-V is released for sale!!!! I think that's nuts and will have to change, but, at least for now, what was given in this week's press release is it.

No front legroom specs, but amazing what you can find out about the Vezel using Google Translate.
