Brand new breaks...

Hi, I nust bought my HRV and on turns intermittently, or driving down any hill, my breaks feel like I'm scraping the ground, like when you're on ice or something. I was told maybe its rust but 1 month later, same grinding situation every day when I pull out of my drive way.

Has anyone else had this? Is it an HRV thing?! This shouldnt be happening right?

I would have the dealer look at it. There are several reasons you would have a "grinding" noise but no, it is not normal for a new vehicle.

Is it only the first time or two that you apply the brakes? If so, disc brake cars get surface rust on them when it rains or is humid, and you'll get a "grinding" feeling when applying the brakes the first time.

If it doesn't go away after one or two stops, then you have an issue. Since you likely still have a warranty, when it comes to brakes...you might as well have them look it over. See if you can reproduce the noise with them in the car.
