Honda HR-V HondaLink?

I think its safe to assume that when the HR-V makes its way up from Mexico it will be sporting the latest and greatest HondaLink system, at least as an option any way.

Check out this demo from the 2015 Fit.

System looks good as far as they UI but the lag on everything is horrible. Can't wait till car tech is taken at least half as seriously as mobile device tech.

Why? I wish they would take car tech even less seriously. When you're driving you're driving not fiddling with a mobile phone impregnated into the dash. Are people really so bored they need to play with apps while operating a motor vehicle? We're not playing games here we're piloting 3,000 lb hunks of metal...

The lag itself is dangerous. It causes the user/driver to pay more attention to their screen then they should because they are rechecking it to make sure it registered their touch. I don't care about apps in general but this type of integration is important today for a variety of reasons. The more effective they make the software/hardware, the better and safer it is for is.

Do you guys know who developed this system? Did Honda take this on themselves, or did they hire one of the tech companies like Apple, Microsoft, or QNX?
