So I'm planning on adding an AudioControl LC6i Line Out Converter to supply a clean RCA signal to a 4-channel and a mono amplifier...keeping OEM head unit because of the camera and steering wheel compatibility. Haven't pulled out the OEM head unit yet but I'm wondering if I can expect the typical Honda speaker wiring at the harness. I basically need the 8 wires corresponding to the 4 speakers, plus the ACC input to splice into. Haven't found anything online anywhere specific to the HR-V. Best I could find was a diagram for a 2015 Fit EX... It shows:

Left Front (+) White
Left Front (-) Black

Right Front (+) Red
Right Front (-) Green

Left Rear (+) Purple
Left Rear (-) Gray
(or Blue/Pink) in the case of a 2015 CR-V

Right Rear (+) Blue
Right Rear (-) Pink

ACC Purple

Can anyone confirm if this would be correct? Otherwise I'm going to have to test continuity from each speaker terminal... :mad:

Sorry, missed yours is an LX............no idea if it's the same as my EX.
Probably not as your head unit is different.

$10 here will get you all the schematics and procedures you want to download for 24-hours.
Will include information specific to your LX.

Just pulled the head unit and visually checked the wiring. I found four nicely twisted pairs of wires. And it looks like the wire colors are corresponding to the EX diagram you posted.

Blue/Light Blue, Purple/Gray, Red/Pink, & Green/Light Green. Polarity will be easy enough to figure out. And chances are the lone Purple will be my ACC turn on. I'll test this tomorrow as well.

All in all....progress!

With the wealth of information available through Tech Info 24-hours is not enough to cover even a small portion of the schematics and procedures in there.
Also, there is information specific to different models and VIN ranges.........

It often asks for your VIN to get you the correct information.
IMHO if you need the information $10 is nothing to pay..........I've done it twice now for procedures I needed.

Hi. Im new in this forum. Im trying to install a new speaker set but i have the same problem finding what wire color is for each speaker. I've read this Blue/Light Blue, Purple/Gray, Red/Pink, & Green/Light Green.
but.. which is positive and negative?

Could be like this?

Blue = +
light blue -
Purple = +
Gray = -
Red = +
Pink = -
Green = +
Light Green = -

Is that it?

Regards!
