Watch this video for an explanation of how it works:

...make sure your phone is unlocked, then connect it by USB. An arrow should appear on the right sight of the home screen on your dash display momentarily. Touch that arrow on the right and it should take you to the screen where you have your Mirrorlink compatible apps.

Make sure you have Sygic Car Navigation. This is the only Sygic app that is Mirrorlink enabled. Some people get confused and try to use the regular Sygic navigation app.

Somebody help. Everytime I connect my S6 phone by USB mirrorlink would popup in landscape mode and be stuck in landscape even though I set the phone to portrait only. This is a problem with Sygic Car Navigation when I have the phone vertically in the cup holder. Because mirrorlink is in landscape the app would think that my car is facing the right or left side.

Anyone else have this problem where mirrorlink is stuck in landscape?

Unfortunately, mirrorlink when used as intended is always in landscape mode. If you're trying to get your compass to track a bit more accurately while using Sygic, I'd say just lay your phone down flat by the USB tray vs standing in the cupholder. Even doing this, the compass tends to be pretty wonky with the Sygic app when you're at a stop... at least with my S7.
