Bummer, thanks for the heads up. I'm guessing a chromecast would be the only option for those phones then.

Only thing I don't like is that when the HDMI input is on, it takes over everything, Audio and Video. So you can't use waze while listening to FM radio.

Cool. Is it possible to mirror my google maps from my Android (ZTE Zmax Pro) to my HRV (EX)screen with the CRUX?

Did your Vezel have Apple Car Play?

I don't think the HRV has that capability. I know the head unit runs different software in different markets. Why did you replace the head unit?

I don't believe you are able to run the HDMI to the screen when the car in in motion. They thing it's a safety issue for the knuckle heads out there that will probably try to watch a movie while driving. You'd have to pay more for the Navi version of the HR-V if you want it to display your phones GPS, which I've read is a normal complaint.

Here's the problem I see. The option should be there to allow touchscreen functions through the app launcher, or at least allow us to use the navigation apps of our choice.

Hold Power / Home / Eject until the diag screen pops up.

Then hold Menu for about 8-10 seconds.

Once on this screen click "Vehicle Information ... "

click on VSP Error button on bottom right, then click off.

hit return on the top right until you're back to the main screen and you have hdmi while driving until you shut the car off, then you have to go through the above steps again. I can switch it off now in about 40 seconds or less

After doing the HDMI hack, I can mirror my Waze gps to my EX which doesn't have the factory Navi. You don't need remove the head unit to install CRUX at all. Get the Fire Stick and follow this:

I can if I log off Bluetooth and I'm connected to HDMI. I'm able to play my music, audio which comes through the HRV speakers. I use the HDMI hack and my Amazon TV Fire Stick!
