Hello from Munich (Germany)! / Waiting time for Your HR-V?

I ordered my Honda HR-V 1.6 i-DTEC, executive, ruse black, 6-Gang, Chrom-Paket (1.6 diesel, mulberry, gear-box, EX-L navi) in November 2015 and should be mine now in April 2016. My dealer told me that it is actually expected to be delivered in November 2016. 12 mounths is really too much, but it'll be worth!

What are Your experiences about waiting-time?

12 months!? Those of us Stateside really shouldn't complain ...

Honda's logistics systems definitely need a tune-up!

Do you realize it's not an handmade collection car? No, it's not worth the 12-month wait. Honda must have the worst supply chain management of the industry. There is something very wrong going on.

The european cars are build in the same mexican plant.
According to my dealer the major problem is that honda didn't expect to sell those amounts in north america.

when it's written on the contract that you have to wait 8 months, you can only cancel your order if the delivery time is 25% longer then written on the contract.
So legaly it can take 10 months till delivery in this case.

Thanks for Your answers!

News from Honda: they decided at the end of February to built the HR-Vs for Europe now in Japan. So waiting-time gets sweeter, because of the fact, that japanese quality will be delivered to Europe.

The main problem I think is, that Europeans mostly order the "executive" version (EX-L navi) with the famous diesel engine. Due to this and the fact, that we also get a larger "panorama"-Roof-window (not the Little one for the US-Market), it's quite difficult to built this type at the production-line at Celaya (Mexico). The japanese Vezel (HR-V) is quite similar to the european Version of the HR-V. So it'll make sense to built ours in Japan.

I'd like to answer this way: If everything is said and done, it's hard to beat a Honda!
