A/C not cold...

The A/C blows slightly cool air but not nearly cold enough to cool the car in our Florida heat. Does not blow cool at all in ECON mode, At 90+ degrees outside and over 100+ in the car it just recirculates the hot air. Dealer said keep econ off, keep in recirculation mode, but even with that it is not much improved. Bringing it to the dealer on Tuesday. The system works so in my mind it has to be a coolant issue. Everything else is very nice and the Mrs.. loves driving it

It should work better for sure- I did a road trip in 90 degrees and had no problems- even when stuck for 2 hours in traffic.

I have a FWD EX HR-V and also live in Florida. The AC cools great, even in ECON mode. When the car is parked in the hot Florida sun it takes a few minutes for the car to cool. My guess is that your problem is not normal and can be repaired. Hopefully, the dealer will be able to take care of your problem on Tuesday. Oh, I did have the front windows tinted to match the rear windows.

Do the rear windows naturally come tinted? I never noticed that.

On EX and EX-L they privacy only - no UV protection. I had them tinted as well.

No UV protection on the privacy glass? Weird, I would not expect that. I'm getting my EX-L soon and was going to get the front windows tinted to match. So now I guess I'll be putting tint on all the windows for the UV protection... How did you find out it doesn't provide UV protection?

The windows are dyed, not tinted - it actually heats the car up in the sun, rather than keeping it cool

Please keep us posted. My Urban Steel LX 6MT seems to have the same issue. Had the windows tinted already too with LLumar CTX film, and I use a sun shade under the windshield. Haven't spoken to the dealer yet. After sitting parked in the Florida sun today until noon the car took a solid 10 minutes before anything resembling cold air started coming through the vents.

Tinting could help, and I think its probably due to it just being so hot in Florida sometimes. Still, A/C should work. Have you gone to ask the dealer yet? Maybe get a sun shade to help yourself out.
