Burned out left headlight on brand new 2016 HR-V

Hey all. I'm wondering if anyone has had issues with their headlights blowing out. I bought my 2016 HR-V EX-L AWD on Thursday(9/29) and I noticed when I was driving home last night that my left headlight was out. I brought it into the dealership this morning to get a new replacement bulb under warranty, and the technician said that this has been happening a lot to the HR-V. They asked if they could keep the car for the day to try and understand the issue better. I'm hoping their isn't some sort serious issues with the electrical that is causing this to happen.

Anyone else had an issue with this?

First I've read of it on this forum, does seem strange. I'm surprised the bulb is actually burned out, not just a wiring issue.

Let us know what you find out!

I replaced the OEM bulbs after a few months with GE Nighthawk Sport bulbs. No burned out bulbs with either in 14 months/21,000 miles.

Just got it back from the dealer. They said that they forgot to install a fuse when in came in from the factory. The bulb was fine. They popped the fuse in and it worked. My only question is, wouldn't the missing fuse impact both headlights and not just the left one? Guess not, according to the dealer. Anyway, issue seems to be resolved.

What model # of the GE Nighthawk did you install? Did you notice a huge difference?

Generally not (At least on Honda's). They usually have two fuses for the headlights. One for each side. Also, I highly doubt they "forgot" to install one. Either it was blown and they replaced the fuse or the fuse was not seated properly.

I would say a significant difference, especially on high beam, but not a huge difference.

Did you bring it to the dealer? If so, what'd they say? What state are you in? I'm in Oregon.

They're no good! I don't recommend!! Mine didn't even last 10 months...

I think I'll spend a few more dollars this time to get some LEDs this time
