Rear seat

Has anybody had any problems with the rear driver side seat not latching at the bottom? I laid it flat yesterday and when i went to put it back up so my nephew could ride with me the bottom wouldnt latch and i can pick it right up.

My 2016 EX is like that. I put a thin piece of cloth in the latch to take up the slack and that worked.

If you are talking about the seat bottom, it is designed that way. You can pick up the seat bottom to raise it up and the latch is the metal U shaped leg to keep it in the up position.

I've learned to "drop" it instead of just pushing on it so it can latch properly.

Yes, now that you mentioned that, I have as well. I thought it was a random thing. I don't see an issue with it as the seat down is not impacting anything (like lifting or jumping up when going over a bump).

I'm really confused by this thread. How can anyone drive from a rear seat?

The rear seat bottoms are not supposed to get stuck. They just fit snugly over the latch on the floor. It's not tight enough to lock it in place but enough so that it wouldn't come up until you pull on it.

I don't see the mention of anyone driving from the rear seat.

I see I misread, I thought it said "rear driver seat". I missed "side". But to be honest, I still don't understand the thread, but that's probably only because I have probably never had the described problem!

I had to re-read, so I can understand how you missed it. I'm slightly confused too, but I'm guessing that the OP thinks the seat is supposed to lock in the down position.
