I do like what we know about the specification - Size, height, AWD, rear camera, sunroof, Fit electronics. Rather than dislikes I have some apprehensions:

- Quality in the new Celaya plants

- High level of noise (it is supposed to be quieter than the Fit 2015 that is quieter than previous models - will it be?)

- Weak engine for the car weight (1.5l)

- The lack of news is making me paranoiac - Is Honda hiding some bad news about delays?

- If the car is in high demand, will the dealers become abusive.

this is very true, but I think right now it's sort of fair that they haven't put out enough info on it, there's enough out there to keep us interested. I'm hoping that by the end of the year we hear more.

Noise is one issue I have learned to accept when it comes to honda since just about everything else about their vehicles are great.

I think if they put a turbo on that 1.5, it would do wonders for the HRV, or even if they go slightly smaller in displacement, like 1.3L and throw on a turbo.

I hope before that. If we get specifics by December, it could mean car availability in the spring.

I believe the Fit 2015 was announced in February 2014 with a specific delivery date in April. This was later delayed 2 month.

If we have no specifics by October, I will have to go elsewhere.

I think Honda will announce details at the LA Auto Show in late November. However, if they haven't started production by early October they won't be in the showrooms by December like they first claimed (available in Winter of 2014).

Fortunately the end of the year always brings auto shows that car makers show off their next year vehicles at so i bet if there's no sign of the HRV making it their, then we know what to expect.

What other vehicles are you considering?

These days my top alternative is the Subaru Crosstrek. The main asset of the HR-V is Honda's reliability, small size, better CVT and advanced electronics. The advantages of the Crosstrek are style and better AWD.

seeing how it has been out for some time already, have you test driven one yet?
if you haven't, it might be a good idea to do so and if that's the case, let us know what you think after
