2023 EX-L infotainment reboots every 4/5 start.

Normally, when I get into the car and start it, my infotainment starts within seconds. Roughly about the fourth or fifth car start, it goes into a reboot mode a spinning wheel, then the Honda logo, and then the menu it takes a while to select anything. Like I said, it only happens every time about the fourth or fifth car start, I think since this is an android system it’s a memory refresh??? like they do on their tablets except it’s all automatic. Do you have this issue and what do you think? Thank you.

I did they said they couldn’t find anything wrong but a friend of mine told me this is an android system made for Panasonic radios. Hey, I bet you guys didn’t know that these radios are made by Panasonic anyways they’re calling it a memory refresh kind of BS, but it has a clear out the little tiny bit of eight gigs of memory it has.

PS anyone with a 23 have any updates to the radio yet from Honda since this is an android system it should’ve had a security update last March.
Rebooting every handful of starts is not a big deal. Maybe future updates will make it more stable/efficient.

Let's stay with the 2023+ info system with new software. Removed unrelated posts.

Apple sad that this is because there is a very limited amount of ram in these radios, and they must be cleared often. I have a Samsung tablet and there is a memory refresh setting for rebooting, and you can set them to do it in the middle of the night, I guess it’s part of the game. Can’t wait till Apple makes your own operating system for these radios which I understand they’re working on, a total ecosystem that works together pretty good.
I have 2 Cars with Carplay and older than yours. They don't reboot as often. I would suspect Honda's new info system is just not optimized. Does the info system gets updated OTA or do you need to take it to the dealer to have it updated?

You will need to get a new car to take advantage of that. If the car manufacturers decided to support Apple's next-gen Carplay.
