I have a ‘17 Pilot Touring with ambient lighting. That is, a faint blue light in the footwells, cupholder, door handles. Honda lists ambient lighting in the EX-L. I just picked my ‘23 HR-V EX-L up, and I have none of the above. Anybody have this, or do they now call something else ambient lighting??

Yes there’s ambient lighting but it Has to be very dark outside the center consul cavity has one it’s kind of like a light white and then also in the foot wells. It’s a very faint blue, but you have to have a very dark outside and your headlights on to see it but yes, it does say for the EX – L ambient light is standard. PS I think if you increase the brightness of the instrument cluster on the dash I think the ambient light increases as well.

What they call "ambient lighting" in the HRV is really a very tiny, small, bulb in a hole on the roof console, just between the map lights. On the Sport trim (which I own) there is the hole, but no bulb. The purpose is to illuminate the center console where the shifter is. So, do not expect the ambient lighting around the interior like we know in other brands.
