Cameras:
With a little configuration they both work just fine. The Lane Assist camera has the distance lines programmed in to it so they display automatically. The reversing camera settings include options to show trajectory as well as a distance ruler too.

To properly route the signal for the Lane Assist camera in a USDM HRV EX I had to do the following:
"GO to Settings >Car >Factory Setting (password 126) >Other >Customer Version >Version 2"

In "Settings >Car >Extra Settings >Reversing Volume >On" or set the reverse volume to the desired attenuation. Otherwise as configured by the factory the audio will cut out when the reverse or Lane Assist cameras are active.

(The "Factory Setting" menu has a lot of other configurable options that are vehicle specific. Password: 126)

GPS antenna: Even though my HRV is only an EX it still had a GPS antenna installed. It was directly above the stereo unit on a metal bracket with a short pigtail cable. I removed the original antenna from the bracket and installed the new Dasaita antenna in it's place. This worked out great and I had no trouble getting a fast and accurate GPS lock with google maps.

USB: Included, but not shown in the product description, is one adapter labeled "Toyota usb adapter" which allows you to connect one of the units usb ports to the stock HRV under dash ports. Do yourself a favor and order a second one from Amazon to connect the second port. It won't fit perfectly but if you double check the orientation and just cram the plugs together it will work. Tested and verified.
Thank you!!

I just bought the latest Dasaita unit for my 2016 HRV EX which includes Android 10, PX6 and Wireless CarPlay built in. Love it so far. I had a few issues that was hard to communicate with the seller on AliExpress. You helped quite a few, so thank you for this detailed post!

However, I'm still having issues connecting my Lane Watch Camera, which is kind of annoying at this point for the cost of the unit. Would love anyones help on making sure I'm connecting and setting up the software right. Every time I use the right signal it goes to a black screen with yellow caution sign with no input. I learned from a user that I can turn that off in the mean time, but annoying because I really want these stock features. I tried all the above, but my unit already came preset to 'Version 2' and the right view on can bus section was enabled.

Maybe I wired this wrong?

I also can't find the original GPS antenna you were mentioning.

Any help would be so much appreciated, you've helped me out so much!

Sorry, i have found wrong parameter :
setting -car -factory setting =password 126 -canbus -right view-hidden . and reboot : it's OK
This helped! Thank you, but I can't get my lane assist camera to connect to begin with. I had similar issue with blank screen with yellow caution. How did you solve this and what did your wiring look like? Thanks!

I know this is an old thread but I wanted to ask if someone happens to have a copy of the wiring diagram for the 2017 OEM headunit? I bought the latest dasaita head unit for our 2020 hrv middle east version but it seems to be not fully compatible yet. I'm trying to rebuild the harness to make the factory multiangle camera work and fix the steering wheel controls as well but I can't find a copy of wiring diagram for the 2017 model. Seller is trying to sort it out but is very slow to respond...

Hello. I have the same issue. Bought a double din Android but couldn’t get the OEM camera to work. So I had to replace the camera with an aftermarket one because the cable couldn’t match. Also couldn’t get the canbus to work. Please let me know if you manage to fix yours. For info, I had to buy another harness for my HRV 2019 (Saudi). The one that came with the Android was not compatible.

@Vitreous86

Please take note that my unit is the 1din dasaita px6 for HRV. The seller had to send me a modified wiring harness as the plugs that came with the unit wasn't compatible with my factory plugs. I managed to make it work somehow after doing some rewiring and tinkering with canbus settings. Factory camera now works as advertised with 4 angles now as opposed to 3 angles using factory headunit. I'm still having problems with the steering audio controls as it only works properly when the park/headlights are on. Still waiting for the seller for some other input but for now my unit works as intended.

I am now considering this head unit (after the Maxca copy at half the price didn't work in my 2020, see my thread). I've sent them a message via eBay about 2020 fitment and am waiting for a reply. Does anyone have a link to the Aliexpress webpage to buy?

Just read your thread, it's a shame you didn't get it to work. The only reason I went for the dasaita is the confirmed compatibility with factory features. However, I had to do some alterations as I mentioned above due to some incompatibilities with my 2020 middle east unit. Have you tried altering the supplied harness? I found that factory radio pinouts differ depending on the year model but color coding is the same so I had to compare my factory wirings with the wiring diagrams available in this forum and worked with the seller to fix the harness. Might save you a few hundred bucks.

I considered that but the wiring diagrams shown here are for the 2019 and it looks like the 2020 USA model may have different pin outs. The Maxca is not near as advanced as the Dasaita either, the features are very very basic.

I found that the 2018 wiring diagram has the same pinout for the reverse camera for my 2020 basic headunit (fujitsu ten as opposed to your panasonic). There's a downloadable pdf of that in another headunit thread here. That might help but if you're willing to spend more, I'd say that the dasaita is worth it.

I ordered the Dasaita head unit today ($497), they said to use CB014 for the 2020 year model. I assume that's the CANBUS. Anyway, it should be here in a few weeks or a month. I already don't expect everything to work out of the box but that would be nice though.

Today I got the radio and installed it. It got here in 10 days from China. It's very easy to install. I got everything to work except the reverse camera. Also, the Lane Watch camera comes on for right turns and my car, an LX, doesn't have this feature. So, I have to figure out a way to turn that off. I'm very satisfied although it was a bit expensive at almost $500 for a lot of features that I have no use for them. I did this only for the Apple CarPlay, which does work both wired and wireless.

NOTE: 2020 (USA) HR-V LX

Hello, can you be more specific about how you got the rear camera to work in your 2020 please. I installed mine today and everything works except the reverse camera.

While waiting for the remedy to the rear camera not working I did the below to turn it off because I got tired of seeing the black screen in reverse.

settings > car > factory settings > 126 (password) > other > prohibit reverse > disable

Okay, after two months my biggest complaint is that a lot of times (at least 3 to 5 times a week) the CarPlay does not connect and the only thing to do is turn the car off and restart it to reboot the head unit. Also, at least once a week it makes a "pop" sound in the speakers when first turned on. It did actually crash one time but that was on the first day when I was setting it up and was really buttoning it fast so that was probably my fault. Other than that no other problems, except (see next post)...

I can't get the head unit to connect to Wi-Fi. It finds the network and connects but then immediately turns Wi-Fi off (the password is correct). I've tried different networks and even the hot spot on my phone and the same thing happens. Any advice is appreciated. My modem is CenturyLink, router is Linksys and phone is Apple.
