Good for you!
I don't believe that dealers are allowed to announce dates until Honda has made it public. This may be wishful thinking or educated guess base on the knowledge that HR-V's are being shipped someplace based on recently posted pictures of them being loaded onto railcars. Aprilish may not be far off the mark, probably not May.
If you beleive everything a dealer tells you.I see a big difference between "wishful thinking or educated guess" and a dealer rep relaying "as per our regional Honda representative, we will be getting first HR-V's in April".
No one has announced "dates", but we are past guesses now.
I am very cynical about what dealers tell me. But in the past when I talked to a few dealers none of them would quote a regional Honda representative. If you beleive everything a dealer tells you.
I'm just saying take what they are telling you with a grain of salt, and don't be surprised if it slips a bit more. I really think we are getting close. And just because they are saying they are quoting a regional rep dosen't mean they still aren't making it up. That is what I was refering to when I made my statement about believeing everything a dealer tells you.I am very cynical about what dealers tell me. But in the past when I talked to a few dealers none of them would quote a regional Honda representative.
Aren't you really not believing what Honda says then, not dealers?
Regardless, if you are saying "Aprilish", how far off are you from believing what I am hearing anyway?
I don't see why they wouldn't start trickling into dealers in the next few weeks. A few for every dealer. Colors and trims may be limited at first but if your not too picky I think you could find something to be happy with.i was hoping for march.
Shu,Hmm. Press event is sometime next week. So is the Honda Classic PGA event in Florida. Wonder..........TV spot???
Something is going on in Miami - https://twitter.com/toripetersen/status/568481742979526656
Well, except for it's release in LA, the Auto Shows have had little to do with info coming out on the HR-V. So I don't see them waiting until New York to give out more info. The NY Auto Show will start 6 weeks from tomorrow (April 3rd through the 12th). With several of the forum users stating that they have heard from dealers that they will have HR-Vs in April (I had a dealer tell me last night that they THINK they will have them in April), could we expect Honda to make an annoucement that sales could start during the NY Auto Show? Just some speculation on my part.

Shu,
Torquenews.com has already stated that they will be participating at an event in Miami the end of Februaury and will be able to drive the HR-V (HR-V evebt we are assuming)
That's what they told me at the Philadelphia Auto ShowLocal dealer says regional manager told them we would see cars at the dealer in April!
Something definite finally.![]()
Somehow I don't think "Honda Pro Jason" will have an unbiased review of the HR-V. I am looking forward to getting some first impression reviews though. I get the feeling we'll be getting a big information dump once the embargo ends after this press event. I wouldn't be surprised if we get a new USA webpage where you can build and price the car, prices, and the reviews all on the same day.
