One day while doing my Driving Miss Daisy' duty (taking my wife shopping), I parked next to a 2020 Nissan Rogue and was admiring the rear bumper protector. I took out my handy tape measure and checked the length and width, and determined that it should fit my HR-V, so I ordered one on eBay. Well, Honda won't tell you this, but I will - the Nissan Rogue bumper protector is an exact fit on a Honda HR-V . I ordered the plastic one for $38 and change, but you can go to your favorite online mega vendor and choose from among many options and prices.
My reason was to break up the large gray mass that is the rear of my HR-V, but if you have a more functional need they are available in stainless steel for about 50% of what Nissan charges. Sometimes you take a chance and win.

You're not just limited to 'ebay/Chinese' knock offs, you'll probably find there are American companies that specialise in these sorts of upgrades.

I've been using (UK) RGM Automotive model specific bumper guards for years. Unlike OEM they give you a choice in not only colour, but finish and are at least 50% less than the dealers prices.

I actually purchased a set from them for my HR-V, unfortunately, even Honda dealers can't tell the difference between Cargo Step Protector and Cargo Step Garnish, and fitted the wrong item. Fortunately they admitted fault and they not only accepted my £44 RGM version as payment for the £110 Honda version, but didn't charge me for the £113 Cargo Step Garnish they had fitted instead.

You don’t need to order a Nissan one. They definitely make HRV Vezel specific ones…
Thanks for your reply. Just to be sure, I just did a search of both eBay and Amazon. Yes, there are 3 million and 1 HR-v rear bumper protectors. Unfortunately, they are the ugly black rubber ones (which I already have), or the fake carbon fiber tape ones. None of those were appealing to me. Of course I could buy the Honda one for about $120, but I like what I have better.
