Ok, so I tried to do some research on this and came up fairly empty of answers, so I thought I would ask the group...
We know that a manual transmission car can be bump started if the battery is dead by putting the key into the "On" position, getting it rolling, and then popping the clutch.
Here's my question, is it possible to "bump start" a car that has a "push button" engine start/stop? Assume the battery is dead, or very nearly dead and pushing the engine ignition button does nothing.
Just curious, an advantage of a manual has always been the ability to bump start the engine, but I'm wondering if the newer push button ignition systems have now taken away this ability.
