@9w6vx Yup, I had a fortnight stand off in Singers in 97 as part of the Hong Kong handover.
I will never forget getting into a taxi with the AC set to Baltic, and then getting drenched by the humidity as soon as I got to my destination.
The other thing I remember, apart from having a Singapore Sling in The Raffles Hotel, was the KFC over there sold little tubs of mashed potato covered in chicken gravy. It was divs!
