Spoke with my dealership today in Massachusetts and was told that they are excited about the upcoming HR-V. I was told that they are expecting delivery towards the end of November/early December. Take it for what it's worth, but I for one can't wait to buy myself an early Christmas present.

Excellent information thank you matthew, and welcome to the site!! A little unfortunate as I was hoping for an October launch, no matter at least a piece of concrete info at last :D

Well then Honda better start production pretty **** soon. It took three and a half months after production of the Fit began in Celaya (where the HR-V will be built) before they started showing up at dealers. It is now mid August and if they start production tomorrow, they likely won't show up till early December. As of now there has been no announcement of the start of production and there have been no leaked information regarding the start. It's freaking frustrating

That's a lot more information than other people have been getting going to see the dealer, and I think that is a good sign. It never seems good when you ask a dealer about an upcoming model and they have absolutely no info. Still no info on production is annoying.

Thanks for the welcome!

I hope the information is accurate...I fear that it isn't, but anything's possible! They must have got that information from somewhere though, so maybe they're in the know? Or just overly eager to sell the HRV?

Going to attempt to call in a favor. It's one of those....I know someone, who knows someone. I too have an interest in an HRV, but my timetable is next July, which is when my current lease expires. Only my third lease, but I've been told that it's not uncommon to get out of a lease and into another car without penalty. Thinking June/July might be a good time, of course if the car is a huge success, it will backfire.

If I am able to obtain some information, I will post.

Waiting...

I have been driving a 09 Fit...bought new. Haven't had a single issue...excellent car and fun to drive. I use the cargo space almost every day for my business (heat pumps). The new fit is still not available in Canada yet. Anyway, think I'll wait for the HRV. Hoping it will have even more cargo space.
