Hi all,

Is there a way to default to the car speakers when plugging in a phone via USB?
As soon as plug the USB cable all sounds go to phone speaker. I then use Waze audio function to re-select car speaker.

Not sure what you are asking. I own 3 Honda’s and the HRV has the oldest sound system. Yet, it still always defaults to last used.

I think you are better off using Bluetooth. which will auto connects, then using usb/iPod mode. When it auto connects, it will play last song. And then you can go in the app for Waze.

If you are asking if the car can auto default to Waze, no, it can’t. If you have carplay, the app can be defaulted as last used. My HRV doesn’t have carplay. But my other 2 Honda’s do. And if I was using Waze when the car was turned off, the app screen will open when I turn the car on again.

I found out, accidentally, That if the usb in already plugged in when I start my the car the sound will run through the speakers.
