What do you dislike about the HRV?

Yes, there is a setting so you can see song titles with the radio. It's the first thing my dealer set up for me.

I'm not a huge fan of the cloth on the doors. Obviously it wasnt a deal killer for me. I came from a Scion iQ so if you want to hear a LOUD cvt - take a test drive in one of those. I love this car. I personally think it's super quiet to drive.

That the seats are comfortable.

I like the vents across the passenger side. I'd rather have that than the horrible round vents that are showing up in everything. It'd be different if the dash was molded around the vents but normally they are just there and it looks odd to me.

I also love the paint. I see big wrong with it.

If you're on the fence about getting one.... For heaven's sake go test drive one for yourself. This is NOT a Lexus or some other expensive luxury vehicles. Maybe some people have champagne taste on a kool aid budget. IDK. Can't please all the people all the time.

I dislike the lumbar support on the drivers seat and will be attempting to remove it this weekend. I'm unsure why Honda did this as my 2006 Accord was super comfortable. If anyone knows of a good way to disengage this, the advice would be appreciated!

So on the fence about the center console. Pretty much every aspect of the interior and dash is cleanly designed, but for such a practical car, there does seem to be a bit of elevating form over function. I'm short, but the elevated center console and the slight angle towards the driver make it feel like it's impinging on my space and prevents me from "manspreading" when the cruise control is on. It's on of the few things on the list (aside from price and MPG) that is making me still consider the Fit.

Let's set the record straight. I purchased a HRV, not another model by another manufacturer. Because of the expense of the purchase I began researching the HRV when I first read on the internet that the HRV was coming to the United States. I think I read every on-line and print article and review of the HRV before I finally saw one in person, sat in it, and test drove it. I have my share of quirks but my girlfriend still married me. The HRV has its share of quirks but I still purchased it. Is the HRV perfect (interior, exterior, internal storage, handling and performance, etc)? No, but I resigned myself to that, and I am learning how to deal with it. That said, I hope all of the critiques of the HRV are meant to give Honda a heads up on quality control and how to improve the HRV. Just sayin'.

Ditto from here. There are a LOT of REALLY nice and great things about this car.. On the other hand, you don't want to hear my list of "dislikes!" Therefore, I'll pretty much keep them to myself. I expect to have this car for a long time!

things i don't like with hrv:
when you paired multiple iphones, you can't select which one to use
not much storage space in side of the door
volume control on the stereo is not very responsive
no LED on the headlight

I do like the fuel economy

CVT AWD city MPG still hasn't reached 29 for driving in hilly Seattle. It's 29 when I drive downhill out of my neighborhood. It's about what I was getting with my 2008 Fit, but the 13.5 gal tank makes up for it I haven't gotten gas in 2 weeks and still have almost half.

Windshield wipers do have speeds- turn the wipers on. Then turn the knob- you have something like 4-5settings on 3 different standards
1)intermittent
2) continuous
3)bad weather (faster)
All 3 of these choices have variety when they are in use

Never had variable intermittent and never missed it. Isn't there still the up movement that makes the wiper do one pass? That is how I used it for light mist. Really not much effort really now that all cars have it on a stalk near the steering wheel.

(Flashbacking to my childhood with the old dash mounted wiper switch :))

I do not like the lack of Horsepower. Honda is notorious for under powering their SUV's. With so many beefer (RSX motors from Acura)power plants why this pathetic motor. It's the same motor I had in my 2007 civic...a lot of rpm's no power!

Don't have any major dislikes with the HRV, power is not an issue with me, I find it smooth and pokey enough. I have a Ducati for when I need a horsepower fix. The only thing I wish was different is that roof rails were standard issue on all model levels, not just the EX-L. I have a couple of kayaks and the aftermarket racks arfe still not available in the USA as far as I can tell. And the little outer segment on the drivers side mirror is a bit useless, it just adds distortion and is distracting when lane changing. No car is perfect for everyone out of the box and half the fun is modding it to suit your needs!

1)I do not like the fact that they force you to pay for a sunroof in order to get a nicely equipped car.
2) I am uncomfortable with Honda's quality control. Doesn't anyone inspect them before they leave the factory? A hair in the paint? Misaligned panels? Jeez!! This is supposed to be a Honda! If I wanted a Yugo I would buy a Yugo.
3) I am unhappy with the way Honda is treating the CR-V owners with the vibration problem. It's a disgrace and it's inexcusable. I know it doesn't involve the HR-V but it shows the contempt Honda has for their customers. Their response has been to belittle and discredit those who have reported the vibration. It's there Honda! I've seen it. Fix the problem already!!!
4) There was a post here, http://www.hrvforum.com/forum/289-h...eneral-discussion/9769-do-not-apply-excessive-force-your-frame-above-doors.html, where one owner complained that his roof was damaged when a car detailer leaned against it. He wasn't a 350 lb defensive tackle either. That scared me and is probably the main reason why I haven't plunked the money down on a new HR-V yet. I don't want a car that's going to collapse like an empty Coke can. I am waiting to see if there are any more complaints or if it was an isolated incident.

I honestly like the car better than anything currently available but I'm in no rush. Unlike a lot of you people there is no shortage of cars where I live. My local dealer has received 16 since they were released. He still has 10. They're not exactly flying off the lot and he's one of the biggest dealers in the region. He even sells them well below MSRP. Very few people are biting right now.
