I would look at the 2023 HRV parts list and see if that stuff is listed for any trim. If everyone has it then they either forgot to put it on yours or someone took it off.

I called Honda customer service and they spent 30 mins on the phone with me. They did find the part in their internal parts but cannot tell me is it part of any trim. I called the dealership and they will look at it.thats it. I asked two 23 HRV owners and they have the same setup as mine. None of them have the extra fabric shield

You may want to suggest to Honda Customer Services that they contact the factory direct, to get the information straight from the horses mouth.

With a previous marque I asked the dealer to confirm something about my vehicle, they didn't know, UK HQ didn't know, and had to contact the factory (located in another country) who clarified the correct information. This led to the UK HQ updating their website and changing a servicing schedule.

Hey folks I’m back going to be making a super review of my 2023 HR-V EXL AWD.
I have a relative that works for you know who. This material is call Polyfibertek.
It is used is for insulation and for protectant. It is found only on the EXL AWD And mine has it. Now if you have the same type of vehicle and do not have it like I’m going to say before you’re not gonna stop the assembly line for a part that is out of stock or on back order that can be placed later by the dealer. If you have the same vehicle and do not have it have your service manager contact the field rep I’m sure they’ll be able to put it on for you. Remember when they were out of radios, well you got a car without a radio and then later they put one in, same here.

The same material is used in the wheel wells. It’s a sound deadening material keeps rocks from bouncing around in the wheel well also a deadens road noise. It was first invented and used by BMW in premium vehicles so it’s a good thing. The bad thing is you don’t want to use a high pressure wash in there lightly wash it. I’m going to say that probably if you own yout vehicle for more than five years you might want to replace it because it does get kind of gunky from road tar and dirt. Oh it’s also a weight saver as well .

Please watch for a very honest review of my vehicle. I’m also going to mention there’s a substantial design flaw on the front end of this vehicle, sorry to pop your bubble, but you can easily fix it yourself and save a lot of grief in the future I’ll show you how to do it.

Glad to be back.

PS, I have a mid July build.

Looks as if BFord with a review will not be coming back. Where did you go with your review Bford ?

Hi, sorry, my wife just got done with chemo….had to devote all my time to her. I will do it very very soon, PS I will show how to fix this problem to it only cost you $10 to fix it guaranteed it will make a big difference. Some of you know I’m an automotive engineer so makes it easy for me to understand these things,
