First Drive Video Reviews of Mazda CX-3 (From Australia)

From our friends "down under" a first drive review of the CX-3. For my money, the ~9 cubic feet of cargo room (less room than a Mazda 3) with the seats up is just ridiculous, and immediately makes it lose out to the HR-V in my opinion. I also don't like the sytling, espeically the infotainment screen looking like it was just thrown on the dashboard as an after-thought. Finally, I think they went for sport way too much over utility.

Agree. They should have just called it an SV....and left out the "U" for utility.

I think this car will actually go for a different market than the HR-V. Probably single, younger people who just want a different kind of sport car.
I think the CX-3 looks fantastic, and have no issues whatsoever with the infotainment screen. Both the Mazda and Honda have pros and cons; my final buying decision will be made after I see both vehicles in person, and go for the test drive.

i think one downside about mazda is reliability
so while the hrv doesn't look as good, at least it's more of a worry free experience.

Yeah, reliability is one of my concerns regarding the Mazda. I know that Honda's are supposed to be extremely reliable vehicles, but I was always under the assumption that Mazda's were not at the same level of quality or reliability as Honda or Toyota.
I still think it looks like a floppy vaudeville clown shoe.

I agree. I am looking at a lot of cars for their various features. But I come back to Honda and Toyota because I loved the fact that I never had to take my Scion xB back to the dealer and have a very reliable 225,000 miles on it.
