Hello all, I have a honda hrv exl fwd 2016 and I wanna drive on the sand with my family, what is the capability of the hrv in this situations?
I know that I have to reduce the pressure of the tires, any more tips?

Drive like any FWD on the beach, stay out of the soft sand and don’t drive at high tide!

I drove my 22 on the beach for the fun of it in Corpus Christi, Texas but it was pretty flat packed sand. When I got to where it wasn't as flat I actually started to get stuck and had to back out. It was a very short drive just to do it.

TV commercials always show cars being driven on the beach and even through the water. Looks like a lot of fun. However, sand and salt water is one of the quickest ways to ruin a vehicle.

Some people keep traction mats and shovel in vehicle if you get stuck.

On sand, wider/larger tires would help you stay on top.

I would think it would be safest to drive at high tide, as the water won't come any higher, and exposed sand is dry underneath. Driving at low tide you may think its safe to go to the waters edge, then hit a sink hole as it's only temporarily low. Then if you do get stuck, better get going before the high tide comes in!
