I would think it would be safest to drive at high tide, as the water won't come any higher, and exposed sand is dry underneath. Driving at low tide you may think its safe to go to the waters edge, then hit a sink hole as it's only temporarily low. Then if you do get stuck, better get going before the high tide comes in!Drive like any FWD on the beach, stay out of the soft sand and don’t drive at high tide!
