Anyone know if the HR-V line at Celaya is operational yet? Just trying to figure it out from a timeline perspective. The Fit took about 3 months to reach showrooms from production start up, if production were to start today we'd be seeing them early November...

I haven't seen anything concrete beyond fall 2014...

Honda is talking of winter availability; this means after December 21. I doubt we get them any sooner. In fact, I think it would take a miracle not to get any delays beyond that.

Its not a momentous event, but they will offer a small PR verb announcing. All PR is good PR no?

I suppose that makes sense considering we're still seeing mules, you would of thought if production was imminent the mules would be stashed already!

I mean it doesn't make much sense to be testing a vehicle while you already have it in production. Then they would be building a car that hasn't gone through all of the tests that it should.

My dealer in Massachsetts said today that they expect them in for an end of November/early December time frame.

no thats not true. They can also continue to test after the start of production if a new drive train, for example, is to be added. We see it all the time with Hybrids...

As far as I have seen the only test mules that have spotted have been European models not North American models. There has been no announcements (official or leaked) about the start of production. The Fit began in late February and most dealers didn't get any until early/mid June (3.5 months)

Sure, but that is basically what I was saying. If it has a different engine then its different. They are still testing something that isn't out yet.

I would take their word for it.
Out of most of the websites out there that report on this stuff.... TOV is one of the most reliable.
