Good afternoon all. Happy to have found this forum. I test drove the 2015 Fit over the weekend while in New Hampshire, but really want to wait till the HRV comes out. Still under lease for Hyundai Elantra GT, until July 2015, so the timing seems good. The wife has a CRV and I wanted something smaller, hopefully better gas mileage. Was really considering a Fit until I heard about the HRV. A hybrid version would make it a no brainer, but I'm hearing a hybrid version is a bit down the road.

Was happy with the Fit, so I'm looking forward to test driving an HRV. I hope they have a version with all the toys. One thing about the Fit I didn't care for was the rear drum brakes, maybe the HRV will have discs all around.

Interesting, welcome to the boards! Would you be willing to share some of your impressions of the FIT? I suppose the HR-V will handle similar if not a little more ponderous, but drive reviews out of Japan have gushed with love...

My initial impression of the Fit was quite favorable. I was leary about the CVT, but I almost forgot I was driving something different. Sure if was a bit louder, but really not much. Acceration was pretty peppy. I asked my wife to ride in the back, and she thought the room was unreal. As far as the ride was concerned, she thought there was some noise back there. I wanted to change places with her, but was nervous driving it, so I didn't get to experience the ride from the back. Next test drive I will take some more mental notes.

Are you looking to have all Hondas in the driveway soon? That would be purdy. If there is no hybrid, will you look elsewhere, or is that not a deal breaker?

Yes, but some people are specifically looking for a hybrid. I suppose it would really come down to what the mpg number are like.

Yeah there are those.
But MPG's on the HRV seem good enough that it won't make it completely a deal breaker, they might still consider it to some extent.
