Battle of the Japanese doohickeys! Lets see how the HR-V is going to stack up to the Nissan Juke. Will the more conservately styled Honda suffer on the market vs the eclectic Juke?

Nissan got lucky with the Juke, when it first came out it was lame, now people love it, especially after they made the Juke-R Nismo and Juke Nismo, even the basemodels seem cool because of that.

Honda will only be able to compete with them to an extent.

The Juke is cool but it will never sell the same amount as the HR-V will. The Juke's styling is pretty unique. You either love it or hate it.

The HR-V has a styling that will appeal to a greater amount of people just like the CR-V.

I could be wrong about this too, but I think that the Juke is smaller than the HR-V

The HR-V is a lot roomier than the Juke. Plenty of room in the rear seat and cargo area. The Juke may be more fun to drive (and I've only sat in the JDM Vezel, can't wait to test drive!), but HR-V wins for practicality.

Thats interesting, you found the Juke more fun to drive than the FIT? Doesn't sound terribly encouraging....
The Juke has 188 hp or more. The Fit is finally getting to 130 hp in 2015. I am familiar with a 2008 Fit with 115 hp. It's fun but slow.

I am expecting the HR-V to have good handling, but with a 1.5 l engine it will be as slow as a Smart! With the more likely 1.8 l it will have as much power as the Civic 143 hp, still a far cry form the Juke 188 hp.

The Juke is a bit heavier than the HR-V and has less space inside. I find it exceedingly ugly.
