Even though I don't trust dealers generally about information, the one I do trust says they expect deliveries to arrive around April 20th. My guess is that they want to have inventory ready for when the embargo ends and sales begin.

That would be my dream. The press embargo ends April 30, which suggests it goes on sale very shortly after... hopefully May 1!
Don't know what normal is,but 5 or 6 doesn't sound right. Sounds like they are trying to rush you into buying by trying to scare you about availabilityI've talked to 2 dealerships. One will take my $$$ non refundable and the other promised (grain of salt time) to keep me updated & let me know when I might see it. The second dealership is gigantic...I'm tempted to put my $$ down since I will buy a Honda of some sort...might go so if I don't hear from dealer 1. I don't want to wait another 6 months for what it seems will be a hot car. One indicated they'd get an initial inventory and then 5-6 per month after that. Does that seem normal? I just don't know.
That is like saying there is no chance the sky will be blue today. Sure, if you're in Seattle in winter, maybe the odds are slim. But, unless they are a 'one price' dealer and EVERY car they sell is at the same price, then I'd run, not walk, to the next dealer. Price is always negotiable.I've talked to 2 dealerships. Oh yeah - and they said there'll be no room for negotiation on the price.

I agree. I hate when dealers pressure and jerk you around. That is like saying there is no chance the sky will be blue today. Sure, if you're in Seattle in winter, maybe the odds are slim. And the 5-6 month deal is just smoke and mirrors. The reason we're all waiting now is Honda is building an inventory to (hopefully) meet initial demand. Once they get going they'll keep a reasonable supply on hand at each dealer. At least we won't have to wait for parts to arrive and pass through the strike on the west coast docks.
I don't have any inside information,of course, but the way Honda has been handling the rollout makes me think they want sufficient quantities in place before sales start.i wouldnt be surprised if cars are at the dealers before launch. most of the intiail deliveries will likely be spoken for i would imagine...
