HR-V in new Honda USA "Dream Garage Sales Event Commercial"....sort of

You have to look closely, but you can see a HR-V in this new commercial for Honda's current Dream Garage Sales Event.

You can see a blue one at the very start and end, it is noticeable absent when he talks about "2015 models", it's parked next to the CR-V and Pilot otherwise.

Did you notice how it cuts abruptly early in the video.....didn't want to linger on the HR-V.

Hmmm....looks like someone else has HR-V Derangement Syndrome.

Yeah, I did notice that. I also think it's a little funny they placed it between the CR-V and Pilot considering all of the other cars seem to go from smallest to largest....trying to hide it? If so, why even have it in the commercial? Questions upon questions......

Technically speaking , you actual see it three times but the second and third time are the same angle.

A possibility is that this was filmed some time ago when it was supposed to be a 2015 model. Didn't want to spend the money doing a whole new commercial....maybe just edited a bit to not linger on the HR-V. Just a guess.

Yes definitly and older video, the CR-V is a 2014 model, not the refreshed 2015.

Actually, I just watched it again and now I see two different CR-Vs. The first one (next to the HR-V) is a Silver 2015 LX, the second one (when is talking about rearview cameras standard) is a Mountain Air 2014 EX (next to rear facing Odyssey). There clearly was alot of editing done on this as cars have changed positions or dissapeared completly

Its not like they even tell us what is involved in the sales event, which is a mistake I think.

Cool to see the HRV but we've seen a lot more of it in other places so its not like its anything new.

Unless I'm very much mistaken, isn't that a covered up HR-V in the background of this Civic ad? Looks to me Honda decided to put the HR-V back under wraps for this advertising event....

I am not sure that is what is happening here. If they decided to put it back under "wraps" wouldn't they just remove it entirely?
I think this may be on purpose to create buzz when people see this commercial. Many will notice that and ask "What is that?
Gradually as the sales event goes on , more and more will be revealed.

Just another possible scenario......

I agree that it was intentional... no way they film a commercial like this and just cover up a car because it wasn't supposed to be there. Pretty subtle as a buzz-builder, though. Maybe they'll give it a more and more prominent role until they're ready for the Big Unveiling?

p.s. Sure looks to me like an HR-V under there....

I was thinking in terms of revealing more and more as time goes on....more prominent each time, as you said. I think they could be very imaginative with this.
