It’s not just a passenger car; it’s a racer, camper, picnic table, grocery getter and cargo hauler. Also, if you have AWD it’s a fun off-road vehicle too.

I’ve carried a 2’x4’ board that went from the back hatch to on top of the dashboard. I’ve also got a trailer hitch but haven’t needed to haul anything with it yet because everything has fit inside of the car.

RACER!... Really? I'd like to hear 'bout that. Sounds like fun. How'd it do?
The handling was great with the Accord Sport wheels and tires but I think with factory wheels and tires that it wouldn’t do very good. The speed was terrible, mine was the slowest thing on the track, including the carts which were faster than me. I only did it twice and came in last in my class both times. However, my wife will not let me take her Civic Turbo on the track, even though technically I own that car too. Oh well, that’s the price of a trophy wife. So, I just ran the HR-V for fun. There is no SUV class and actually they’re not allowed; however, according to Honda and State Farm this car is a station wagon, so they let me race it.

I've been thinking about trying to sack out in the HRV on road trips. Seems such a waste to pay $100+/night for a motel just to get a few hours rest.
Exactly! Myself having been in the military I’ve slept in all kinds of conditions including in the rain. I’ve even slept standing up before but that’s another story. The owner’s manual specifically states if you’re going to be in the car for a long period of time to not put the air vents on recirculate. Also, have your exhaust checked before sleeping in the car, a leaky exhaust can kill you. Lastly, get a carbon monoxide detector.

Bob, I completely agree with you on that point. Perhaps we should add “true” to the SUV title. I say again though, according to my Honda and insurance paperwork my 2020 is a station wagon.
