While Ross declined to offer sales expectations for the vehicle, IHS Automotive estimates Honda will sell about 30,000 units of the HR-V in Europe in 2016, the vehicle’s first full year of availability in the market. That would make it Honda’s third best-selling vehicle in the region after the CR-V compact crossover and Civic compact hatchback.

I would say that would be counted as a success. Funny how they can predict something like that before it even goes on sale.

That is kind of a comical article. Honda sales are abysmal there so if the HR-V is expected to be the THIRD largest seller,that isn't saying much.

A more optimistic outlook would be to say the HR-V will greatly increase sales for Honda overall ....hopefully surpassing CR-V sales......or something to that effect.

Actually, 30k would only put it at #4 behind the Jazz (Fit). Unless they're anticipating Jazz sales will take a hit when the HR-V goes on sale.

If you're HOPING for a revival you're obviously not trying hard. If they're HOPING the HRV meshes with consumers then they obviously haven't done their homework.

What they need to figure out is what from 07 to now they've seen half their volume carved away...

that I can see being some thing they would and should factor in
the hrv should be able to get a good amount of folks to convert.
