Anyone else slightly distraught at the news that AWD HRV's will only be available with CVT?

Personally this is going to make my decision difficult. I would prefer AWD, would also prefer a manual. Seeing as its either or I'd ideally like manual, but AWD is not needed but useful and warranted in my neck of the woods.

Then again there is the Mazzer with that slick 6 speed auto...

owered by the Civic’s 1.8L 4-cylinder engine making 138 horsepower and 127 lb-ft of torque. For those that don’t want to row their own (or want Honda’s Real-Time 4WD system), a CVT is the only other option.

I'm not surprised that the AWD is only going to have the CVT. Being in California, AWD only comes in useful for me on the off chance I drive through the mountains. I've done that during the winter 2 times in the past 7 years.

I'd would have liked the option of AWD with the manual, but because it isn't offered I'm ok going FWD to get the stick. If nothing else the FWD will be less complicated and might get some better fuel economy.

I want my MTV(ehicle) with AWD!

I also had been hoping for MT and AWD. Not many options... the SUB Crosstrek FB25 engine problems concern me. I like the way the 2015 Fit MT handles. My first winter in Chicago with my Prius was unpleasant. Please Honda, add AWD option to MT! Looks like I will hope for a mild winter in my Prius but the cold weather and snow elsewhere does not bode well.

!!!!!

Exactly, they say people don't want manuals, but they don't sell manuals for people to even have a choice to not drive manuals!!!!! ;)
