Curious if anyone knows when the North American launch of the HRV will take place. I've heard that the Australians will get theirs in January 2015. Are we before or after that?

The all-new Honda HR-V is set to become a core model in the brand’s local line-up when it arrives in showrooms in January.

Honda Australia director Stephen Collins told CarAdvice the brand plans to sell at least 1000 of the sub-compact SUVs every month, which would put the HR-V up with the Jazz hatchback (on which it is based) and larger CR-V SUV as one of its most popular model

This other thread says that the HRV should be coming out the second week of June.

As of an April 9 press release, Honda was planning for an on-sale date in late April. Now the forecast is for the second week of June.
That seems really soon to me. I don't have any other info that would disprove this though. Only thing I can think of are the rail delays which is happening for various reasons.

Yea I can't see this happening next week, but maybe we will be surprised. Maybe they are referring to June of next year or something.

I just figure that there would be more information if some type of announcement is imminent.

No I don't think its going to be June of next year, but they could of meant the HR-V will be official for NA in June 2014, yet we wont see them in showrooms until later in the year?

Same goes for the USA site now..

...As part of Honda's light-truck lineup, the HR-V is built on a unique center-tank layout and offers a versatile, spacious interior. It's equipped with the Honda-exclusive Magic Seat®, so you can fold the second-row seat completely flat for added cargo space and greater flexibility.
