Vtec.net will have live streaming.

Honda's New York Press Conference begins at 1:55PM on April 1st.
I sure hope they don't try and present the all new HRV "Selfie edition" at the NY auto show because it's April 1st. That would be extremely lame.

Agree....it was funny, but not worth carrying on to the auto show.
I think that works for a Facebook funny, but not at an auto show.

Just a couple of hours until the BIG announcement(s).
Word getting out the past couple of hours is the BIG announcement will include the new Civic.
Civic, Civic, and Civic only... Sigh... I was hoping for pricing on the HR-V. One interesting point is there has been speculation here that the turbo would find its way into the HR-V this fall. The speaker noted that the Civic would be the initial deployment of the turbo. So, if you want the turbo in an HR-V, my guess would be wait for the CRX or maybe the 2017 HR-V.
Dammit, you are right. All about the Civic after all the opening hype about "Year of the Honda".

Civic is old news, rehashed decade in, decade out.
Ok, all we saw was a Civic Coupe Concept. No details as usual. Wonder how long before they put the turbo into the HR-V. They are on record as saying the HR-V would get a turbo eventually. I'm going to see if I can find the original statement

And here it is (from all the way back in Dec 2013);

As expected. Never got excited about the "special announcement" for that reason.
Thought it might be the Ridgeline....but highly doubted it would be anything about the HR-V. That was LA.

I actually don't expect any special announcement from Honda. I just think it will be a simultaneous ad campaign..... rolled into the intro date and pricing at that time.
I see no reason why Honda would add a turbo option anytime soon. Maybe look for it in two to three years.

When does the new engine factory in Anna, Ohio starting up? They're making the turbo VTEC engines right?

Yes, they are making the turbos. I don't recall the startup date , but I will look for the article.

Here is one among many articles....

Think about it though, the HRV has created more demand and interest than any other Honda in years. If it ever gets the Turbo, it won't be at least until the mid cycle update, but even then it may be too early.

Agree it won't be this model year, but I don't think it will be a couple of years before it is installed in the HR-V.
Is anyone going to the NY show? Would be nice to see if they are letting anyone closer to getting into an HR-V.
The doors stay locked until it goes on sale. This is the case with all vehicles and the HRV was locked when I saw it at the recent Philadelphia auto show.
