Well now that we know the embargo ends at the end of April I assume that they will do something big at the NY Auto Show. Last year they showed the production Fit at the show with all the specs (Also the pictures of the HR-V). The show starts on Friday, April 3rd. Press events could be Wed and Thurs before the show.

It looked to me like the embargo was announced at the Honda presentation in Miami. So those people who wanted to post video might not have realized how long the embargo was. I did see via tweet that someone from Torque arrived down there today.

We did have some of the twitter folks post about having videos next week, I wonder if they didn't know about the embargo at the time, or if those videos won't give us any new details???

I believe they didn't know. Judging by what we were reading up till now, it was the general consensus that the embargo would be a week or so after the event. I believe they were surprised (maybe shocked) as we are that it is going to be this long.

I would hope the videos would come out, but I gather that won't happen either. There won't be details in the videos at any rate , just driving impressions.

They did hold a press event in NY last year. All I am saying is that if they do hold an event we should hear something soon since other manufactures events are becoming public. (Scion & Chevy)

Not saying it would be HRV related at all.

Yes, the clock is ticking, there's only so much longer they can go on before holding an event like that, which I think should happen soon, by the end of the 2nd quarter maybe?... I think it's a safe bet.

They'd better have more than a press event by the end of June...
Why? The reviews from the Miami event will include price information and probably release date info as well. I see no need for Honda to hold any further events regadring the HR-V. You will be able to get all the info from local dealers once the release ddate is made public.

I mean they'd better have cars to buy before then (I'm hoping for mid-May), at which point who cares about press events?

Right.....just talked to an LA dealer face to face and they expect cars in May for sure. And just like my trusted dealer in Phoenix, they may have a sample car in April that I can see before the shipments come in.
