Hi everyone.
I got a Odometer display problem in my Honda HRV 2019 model (25000 mile)

In winter / cold weather when i start my car i don't able to see Odometer reading correctly. Number display is fuzzy and scattered lines. Once car stay for few hours in sunlight and when i start car again then i see odometer correctly.

what is the reason behind this. How to solve it.

ok thank you. Mine in the shop and they said they cannot do anything diagnostically unless it does it while in the shop-also told me not to read and believe things here-LOL maybe they should pay attention!!!! Of course the weather is well above freezing right now so…. I agree Honda should acknowledge and recall this as it is abundantly clear this is an issue with Honda.

Just to let everyone know the “factory reset“ performed by Friendly Honda DID NOT fox the blanking out of the odometer and fuel digital display on the Honda HRV. I started the car this morning and it was about 36 degrees and it was totally blank. Not sure if Honda or their dealers know how to fox their own cars.

I'm guessing quite a bit here, but I think those LCD don't work well when the Liquid gets cold and viscous.

Likely there are LCDs that work well in the cold, but, Honda is now a bean counter firm and not an engineering firm.

Many people have the same issue. Honda should acknowledge it as a factory defect and fix it,
Did you find a fix to this issue-I have the same problem and Honda.said they never heard of this before And unless the problem happens while in the shop they cannot diagnose and fix it.
Sort of funny. I went to both the dealer and called corporate, but both appeared to have never have seen the problem. I've read where it can be an expensive repair. Corporate gave me a very "political" answer which basically means they don't care. No matter how I would phrase the issue, the lady at corporate would just respond "I don't see any recalls for that issue", which means, we are going to wait until a large number of people pay for the repair out of pocket before we issue one and if they decide not to, sorry for your luck. If they did cared at all, they would see how many owners have posted this question in different forums and address the issue. Right now, I have no idea how much fuel is in my car or how long I have driven and it's only a 2021, but just outside of the 36,000 mile warranty for electrical components.

Good to know, I have over 20K miles on mine, I'm going to contact my dealer and see about getting it replaced under warranty. BTW: Mine occurs in the deep cold and in high heat. Its been up to 97F this June and its started going blank, in the winter when its below 25F it goes all squiggly.

Have the Same problem - dealer said it’s a Gauge Cluster issue-. He replaced 2 under warranty- he said he would evaluate, but couldn’t guarantee warranty if wires had been chewed!!!!! How do I trust these guys ??? Is there a problem using warranty - do they get dinged ? Loose commission
