I have a HRV 2005 model. Does anybody know anything about the right procedure for filling oil on back differential?
It seems there are special tricks needed to get it right, not only fill up with oil as usual.

Bjorn,

I doubt you will find the information you are looking for here. These forums are aimed at the new HR-V model that Honda will be releasing here in North America, and Europe, in the near future. The new HR-V is similar to the Japanese Vezel which has nothing in common with he older HR-V. This is an unfortunate byproduct of releasing a new model under the same name as a discontinued model. In my opinion, a mistake by Honda.

Oil on differential old type HRV

Thank you Topspot!
I think you are right, and i agree, never good to duplicate a name when the product is totally changed.
But i thought may be somebody knew something about my problem anyway. I see this forum is also used by other countries where the old type HRV has been sold. I know it is not sold in USA, and may be not Canada either.

Best regards BjornL

^ what he said
along with that, folks here don't seem to be the hands on type, at least for now.

Good luck with finding your answer on another forum... maybe honda-tech.com?
