Honda has issued a press release for the Chicago Auto Show that the Pilot will make its debut. In the middle of the press release they are still calling for "Spring" for the HR-V.

"The redesigned Pilot SUV, launching at Honda dealerships nationwide this summer, will further augment a Honda light truck lineup that includes the recently redesigned Honda CR-V – 2014 Motor Trend SUV of the Year and the best-selling SUV in America – and the all-new Honda HR-V crossover, launching this spring. In addition to showcasing the completely redesigned Honda Pilot SUV, the company also will reveal details and styling direction for its forthcoming Ridgeline truck at the Chicago Auto Show.

Hi shu,
Do you have a link to that press release?

Thanks

Ok...just did a search myself and found many articles.

I found this VERY interesting in one article.....

"As for its cars, Honda is getting ready to introduce a new turbocharged four-cylinder engine lineup which should be featured in at least one Honda vehicle before the end of 2015".

Which one?....hmmmmmm

Thanks......I went to Honda.com and searched "press releases" and all I got was some older ones, nothing recent like this Pilot release. Strange they don't have it there and you have to go to hondanews.com to find it.

Also strange is there is no announcement at hondanews.com about mpg and the HR-V. Seems like the press was watching the EPA or Honda sent out the word directly to the press somehow.

I will be watching hondanews.com more closely now.

We may find release dates and pricing there soon, I hope. I no longer expect it to align with any Auto Show, (but you never know, it could). It is just that I see Honda emphasizes new reveals lately and not much talk about the HR-V at each passing show.
I'm sure they'd like to attach the HR-Vs to an auto show since they can get lots of press but at the same time you have to assume they learned something from the Fit's release. So who knows when. You'd have to think HRVs are rolling down the line now and they are doing inspections and making necessary changes as the need arrives.

Australia Dealers have them on their lots already and they were told Feb, so they are ahead there. Have to assume Honda will keep their mouth shut until they are truly ready here.

The MPG news broke here first before the first "news" article came out. I wonder if someone from Car and Driver is watching our little forum and then didn't give Shu credit for finding that info buried on the EPA site:D
LOL Thanks for the credit. I'm an IT guy so I spend all day in front of the PC. I keep looking for iihs and nhtsa to post info too.

I am probably second behind you on time searching. :)

I check a lot during the course of the day. A lot I find just by doing a Bing search for pictures and then checking the attached articles.
I wonder if we'll see the new Turbo in the Pilot first? Wold help with the dismal fuel figs...
Did you guys see the teaser of the Honda Pilot that was just released?

Yes, I did. Looks like the HR-V crease on the side, doesn't it?
It is much more rounded. Definitely shows some CR-V and HR-V family resemblance.
goes head to head with the Canadian International Show... I wonder if Honda Canada will let a cat out of the bag or something...
I'm really liking how the honda pilot is looking in that teaser, seems to be like one real beefy SUV.

Him not seeing much difference between it and the silhouette of the MDX.
