Both announcements could come any day now. So I wanted to create a thread for it.

Post your predictions on either, news of either when announced, and reactions.

I'm excited. I've had my eye on this ever since Honda first presented a concept car on their official website several years ago, eventually turning into the Vezel in Japan in 2013, an announcement of the HR-V name in 2014, and finally in North American production earlier this month. I cannot wait to drive one!

I predict a $19,000 base price for the LX and tiered up from there, with an early April date dealers will begin selling these.

I hope the LX is in the 18k to 19k range. I don't think the EX-L will start above 25k (hoping for 23k).

I think we'll have pricing this week and reviews starting next week out of Miami with a new website around the same time. At dealerships end of March / early April.

Edit:
At the least it looks like the review embargo ends sometime next week according to this Twitter Post....

Been waiting on this car for what seems forever now... Desperately in need of a new car so hopefully Honda doesn't dissapoint us....

I'm thinking 19k is reasonable starting price of lx, 18k would be great but I would be surprise..... Interested in getting the ex or exl and that all depends on the pricing .....

Also curious who is planning on buying the hrv in the next 6 months? Just wondering if you guys think that the first batch would bring problems?

18,000 starting for an LX. Hope it is more than a pipe dream.

Looks like the reviews will be next week.

I believe this will be Honda's opportunity to release prices. There will be no special announcement from them. It will be in all the articles we see from the test drives.

Maybe soon after with the build and buy on the Honda site?

Price range in Belgium for Jazz (Fit) is between (recalculated) 16k and 23k.
I didn't include hybrid since they don't come to belgium and top out around 26k for Fit
Since HRV is based on the same platform i expect it to be around 3k more for each version.
Altough competition is a bit more expensive over here

Guys & Gals,

Hope I am wrong here (on high side) however my estimated calculations have the 2016 HRV LX Manual MSRP without destination charge of $880 starting at $19,855. With that starting point, that would make my Alabaster Silver LX Automatic with AWD, Destination and Sales Tax come in at $24,025 out the door.

First cars should arrive at the dealers by April, but I am betting on May for mine to finally arrive here in Colorado.

My guesses for price would be:

LX $19,500
EX $21,100
EX-L $25,250

Add $800 for automatic tranmission (CVT) and $1250 for AWD, and of course add roughly $800 (or so) for destination charge.
That's $28.1K ... plus Nav + the ubiquitous oxymoronic compulsory options .... how much is the CR-V?

Consumer Reports just released their annual auto issue. They have the HRV estimated to cost $19k-$24k. If that's the est. range for all the trims, great. If that's the range for just the base model, it better come in at the low end.

That has to be the full range. I hope it is right.
I would think it is the full range too because I remember seeing someone question the price on the Honda HRV fb page, and Honda responding it will start below 20. That was the one and only time I saw Honda respond to a price question other than to wait for details. Whether that is a real FB page, I don't know?
