Two separate, related Qs here.
  • My SWC button is very worn - mostly as my skin is quite acidic (my MacBook even is eating away!)! Is it possible to replace this?
  • The same for the door where I grab the black part - see photos. Any ideas? The back to black stuff doesn’t work. Has anyone found a magical solution for this?

For the pillar, best bet is honestly gloss black vinyl. Vinyl is only around $10/20. The button not sure if it’s sold separately but should be around $20-40. The thing is if you are not good with cars, installing it would not be fun for you. And labor would cost much more than the actual part. The pillar can definitely be done yourself.

I do not use sanitizers (or moisturizers). I think I just have very highly acidic skin. My previous Macbook had big chips over where my wrist was.. kind of wild.

Good input on the black vinyl - I assume you mean the kind you'd wrap the car in right?

It sounds like the button is more involved.. I had looked online to see if I could find the part, but couldn't find much. I'm terrible with cars (i.e. I haven't a clue), but I'm good with electronics, so taking something apart/rebuilding it etc is fine. Don't ask me to replace a CV joint though.

I have dry hands also, which is why is my wife calls me "Alligator hands".. :)
And then she follows me around the house with hand moisturizer!
Not sure if you are married but I think you should also be using hand moisturizer!

Swapping the steering wheels buttons is not hard and the switch assembly is readily available from Honda.
Any Honda dealer should be able to give you a reasonable price on that.

Wrapping all the door B-pillars is not hard. Any automotive vinyl shop can easily do it.
We had our truck's B-pillars done many years ago.

You roll down all the windows, peel the window rubber weather stripping back and just let it hang.
If possible, loosen the window belt molding. Remove the old vinyl wrap and apply the new wrap.
With the weather stripping removed, they can wrap the vinyl around the edge and tuck it under and under the belt molding.

I also recommend gloss black, rather than flat black, mat, pink, or fake carbon fiber...
