I don't think just changing the tires will help out. It has more to do with cabin insulation.

Ya think they'll make the American version less noisy on the road? My Google searching brings up reviews that makes note of road noise. Can that be addressed by tire choice?

According to the press release from the LA show, the US version will have additional sound deadening.
