Although it seems to be a good feature for those that are distracted and get off the car without shutting off, it can be a catastrophic feature for those that leave pets in the car with the A/C running (or a kid, that happens too). I would disable that.

Yeah sure. I forgot about the people that NEVER do that or their parents never did that to them or the pets on their childhood- leaving the car running with the A/C on.
