The North American AWD HRV has a very basic torsion beam rear axle.
The N.A. 2wd HRV has a basic solid beam rear axle.
We might be onto some regional language differences. I'd consider a solid beam rear axle to be what you'd find under a pickup truck; that is, a solid tube running from wheel-to-wheel with axle shafts running straight from the hubs to the differential.

The AWD HR-V to me has a modified De Dion rear suspension. Unlike a true De Dion rear suspension, the HR-V has the cross tube positioned more like a trailing arm.

The FWD HR-V has what I'd call a torsion beam or twist beam rear axle. Unlike a solid rear axle, the wheels on a torsion beam are mounted on stub axles on an H- or C-member and the entire beam can twist along its length to provide semi-independent articulation.
