A few months I go I installed Tema4x4 1.2 inch spacers, which along with my 225/60r17 tires lifted my HRV 2 inches over stock. These spacers go between the spring hat and body in the front and between the spring and the body in the rear.
When ordering they offer 20mm and 30mm versions - I chose the 20mm as the spacer to lift ratio is 1.5 meaning its actually 30mm - I kept the factory rake for offroad ability to climb hills and handle weight in the rear, you could use 30mm in the front and 20mm in the rear to level but this is for looks at the cost of capability.
Negatives are the car is taller, MPG will suffer a little, as will cornering, however with good tires and functioning shocks its effectively a non issue - I am still routinely told how comfortable the ride is in the rear for passengers and it will go around a corner almost as fast as a standard AWD model, which is pretty fast. Mileage has been 25 combined average as its mostly city. Performance with the CVT has been no issue even when climbing the 9000 foot Onyx pass.
The tradeoffs are I can effectively go anywhere I want within reason, ruts, sand, rocks - no issue. This is not an offroad vehicle but it handles any trail I've thrown at it, times when other vehicles would get stuck or nearly roll I kept going just fine, props to Honda AWD for that.
When some rocks would touch the front subframe even with taller tires, I no longer have that issue. Recently I plowed 2 miles down a road with 2 foot tall weeds, not the smartest thing to do but zero issue and clearance at even the lowest point in the center is massive 12 inches - the shoe in the photo is 14 inches.
It can go taller with the 30mm spacers and even taller tires but I'm extremely happy so far. Recently I pushed its ability to climb terrain as far as I dared and it charged diagonally up a very steep and rutted hill with no issues. Taller lifts will also dramatically impact handling and comfort.
You can buy them online at Amazon and with tool install them yourself, an alignment is definitely required.
