I cant seem to find a good set of instructions to set this up..
If I want to use my phone as the source of the in car wifi.. how do I set it up? I thought I had it.. but nothing actually worked when connected lol
What settings do I pick?

Have you set up your phone as a hotspot? Does the phone show up as a network on the car?

Also to see if your phone is set up properly as a hotspot it should also appear on your computer as a network.

I can connect directly to my phone..

do I leave the car as smartphone? in connections? or choose network? If I cant figure it out.. not a big deal.. i can just use the phone directly lol... i was just curious

Are you trying to use wireless Carplay? that is something different.

no. thats all set (was pretty easy to set up)

the car has its own wifi hotspot for passengers.. just wanted to figure out how to make it use my phone as the source.

If your car actually has a built-in hotspot. it will need a data plan with a carrier. You can't use your phone as a source by plugging it in.

What you have is Hondalink. Reading the owner's manual seems to be a lost art.

You could just turn the hotspot on your phone to accomplish the same thing. Check that your phone plan includes data for the hotspot. Then go to settings, personal hotspot, and allow others to join (give them the password).

It’s not the data hotspot it’s just a way to share the phone hotspot. Yeah.. I can just share the phone, I was just curious how it works..
