Vinyl wrap

IMO, vinyl wraps are common these days but the technology is still evolving.
Vinyl wrap is still not that durable when it comes to UV (sunlight).

If your HRV sits outside at home and/or at work, I would NOT get vinyl wrap.

But if your HRV is mainly parked indoors then vinyl wrap could be an option.
Worth getting some estimates.

If you can get just the roof done for much less than US$2000, then it might be worth it.
It won't perfectly match the rest of the car but it will be close enough.
The risk will be if more of the paint on the HRV fails.

Backing up a bit... a 2017 HRV with 100,000miles. 9 year old car. It might be time to move on from it.
I'm sure it wont' be financially worth it to paint the entire car or vinyl wrap the entire car.

The lowest cost option would be to have a low cost body shop just touch up the roof for now. Spot repair.
Then trade it in or sell it.
If you keep it, hope that no more of the paint fails. No pressure washers, no drive-thru car washes.
The touch up won't be perfect but fine for a 9 year old car.
If any more of the paint fails, then low cost touch up that area also.

I hope this info helps...
