Hello 👋

My rear hatch is leaking.

When pouring rainy day.

My car is leaking. Not the spare tire area.

Like this.....

Every time I checked after the rain.

I found a leak in my hatch...

And I directly headed to YouTube to find some info on this situation.

So I searched for Honda water leaking.

And I found this video.

This video is not for Honda HR-V.

But it helps anyway.

In this video, honda fit owners said that outside of the welding area is a problem.

So fit owners apply some waterproof silicone to prevent some water leaks.

So I bought some injectors to find where I can find some leaking spots to fix.

After I checked some welding spots.

I found something.

Can you see this???

The little crack in the rear hatch.

So I injected water into that crack.

Yeah! I found a leaking spot!

As you can see the square sponge is already soggy with water.

This water makes a square sponge wet.

That result makes my interior trim piece wet.

So I went to the Honda service center.

And explain where my car leaks.

If I rewelding that part it will cost over 1500 dollars.

So I don't want to rewelding I just want to apply silicones.

Honda service center said okay I will.

Then the final result.

Good result.

I want to make sure of this leak.

So I did my first auto wash.

But nothing is happening so far.

And my country is rainy season.

It's still dry as beef jerky. 😏

Good move.

You co need to check the other side, too.

I have found that Permatex Flowable Windshield Sealant works great! It flows INTO the crack, not just the surface, so it seals better.

On your white car, it will dry a bit yellow, so don't use too much. (Or mask the edges)
