Changed out the 2 steering column stalks yesterday - the lettering was all worn off on the old- took 15 minutes - all good !

Obviously, your car is the second generation, why go to all that trouble since by now you should know what the position of the stalks are. Did you do it for esthetics?
I purposefully don’t rest my fingers on any of those and the other buttons as well so that the oil from my fingers do not wear them out and I have 74,000 miles and they still look brand new. How many miles does your car have on it?
